Quick look at events taking place in and around Santa Monica College for the week of December 11, 2017.

On Monday, Dec. 11, SMC will host its 40th annual Holiday art sale at the performing arts center from 9-12 p.m. Support

Come hike with friends at Griffith Park Wednesday night in your ugly Christmas sweater. The event runs from 7-10 p.m. and will start by the Pony Rides.

SMC’s Broad Stage will host a presentation of Nat Geo Live on Dec. 15 titled: Standing at the Water’s edge, detailing the relationships between individuals and water at 7 p.m.

Feel the force in Westwood’s Bruin theatre for a special premiere of Star Wars: The Last Jedi starting on Thursday, Dec. 14th. Tickets are on sale and each showing starts at 7:30 p.m.

SMC music and theatre students will come together to put on a special program of solos, duets, and ensembles this weekend in a Musical Theatre Workshop hosted at the Theatre Arts Complex. Tickets are $10.

Santa Monica’s best kept secret will be revealed on the Pier Saturday afternoon with the annual holiday odd market featuring over 80 local artists, crafters and designers. The event is free and will have live music and food trucks.
