SMC Students Weigh in on the Elimination of DACA

On Tuesday, September 5th, the Trump Administration formally announced their decision to end DACA. Santa Monica College, being one of the most diverse community colleges in Los Angeles region, has many students that are either directly or indirectly affected by the elimination of DACA. Congress now has until March of 2018 to replace the program that was implemented during Former President Barak Obama's first term.
