The City of Santa Monica held its Veterans Day celebration with both the Los Angeles Army Recruitment Battalion and the Army National Guard to honor and celebrate those who sacrificed so much serving this country on November 11, 2021 at the Santa Monica Pier in Santa Monica, California. Santa Monica Mayor Sue Himmelrich and Councilwoman Gleam gave remarks at the commemoration as the police and fire departments came to show appreciation. The Fire Department who displayed a large American Flag hoisted across the extended fire ladder for display during the ceremony. Capacity was limited for the event, but the members of the public showed respect from afar.
