Hundreds of abortion rights activists, protesters, and community members gathered for an Abortion Rights Rally on the Venice Beach Boardwalk on July 4. Ralliers brought handmade signs, and some painted their bodies to express dissent in reaction to the United States Supreme Court, Dobbs v. Jackson, overturning Casey and Roe on June 24. Activists gave speeches and featured a speaker from the Los Angeles chapter of Democratic Socialists of America. After the rally on the boardwalk, the large crowd walked through the streets of Venice.
