Fashion Friday

You don't need to spend big to look great. web1Name: Danitta Littleton

Major: Criminal justice

Hometown: Compton, Calif.

Wearing: Sweater from Forever 21, pants from American Eagle and shoes from Journeys.

How would you describe your style?

I would say it is fun and flirty. I like to mix different styles and trends. One day I can be totally dressed up with high heels and the next I am casual and chic like today.

Where do you get your inspiration?

I think billboards are cool so that would be one thing that inspires me. I also look up to my sisters a lot and watch what they wear, I would say they are my biggest source of inspiration.

What is you favorite store?

Foreign Exchange. I really like the vintage look of their clothes. They are kind of weird but really cute at the same time. They have very unique and cool stuff that you will not be able to find in any other store.

web2Name: Paulette Paul

Major: French

Hometown: Torrance, Calif.

Wearing: Sweater from a small store in Manhattan Beach, jeans from Hollister and shoes from DSW.

How would you describe your style?

I don't have just one style or follow one specific trend. One day I can wear a beanie and the next a nice white dress. I put on whatever feels right that day.

Do you care about what other people think of your clothes?

I actually do care. Since people at SMC usually dress very nice and trendy I feel like I have to impress other people and dress nice when I go to school.

What is your favorite store?

I don't think I have one specific favorite store, but I really like jeans from Hollister. Another store I like is Louis Vuitton. If I could, I would absolutely shop there.

web3Name: Taylor Shaw

Major: Business

Hometown: Los Angeles, Calif.

Wearing: Sweater from Crossroads, skirt from Forever 21 and shoes by J.C. Penney.

How would you describe your style?

I would use the words vintage, chic, French and Korean. I have been very inspired by Asian fashion for a long time. My sister liked Japanese trends, and since I also wanted to have a unique style, I started to look at different trends and found that Korean style was very interesting.

What is you favorite store?

Brandy Melville. I really like their vintage, urban style, but since they are a bit expensive, I try to find stores with the same style as Brandy but with a cheaper price tag.

Why did you choose to study business? My plan is to open a café somewhere in Europe, and to be able to do that, I need a business education.
