Occupy LA shuts down Bank of America main headquarters

Occupy LA, the movement that has grown over the last month from the Occupy Wall Street protests, took their actions a step further by occupying Bank of America and effectively shutting down the main headquarters branch located on 333 Hope St. in downtown Los Angeles around five pm on November 9, 2011. Riot police swarmed around the front of the building and civilians, regardless of being a card holding member of Bank of America, were turned away and only corporate tenants were allowed to enter.

Security used their bikes to form a ring around the front entrance blocking entry into the building.

A number of protestors allegedly set up tents inside the Bank of America building and were refusing to leave, leading the police to intervene.
