Earthquake jolts SoCal Monday morning

A 4.4 magnitude earthquake struck the Los Angeles area Monday morning at 6:25 a.m., according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The earthquake's epicenter was about six miles northwest of Westwood and seven miles north of Santa Monica.

Initial data reported the quake at a 4.7 magnitude. It was later downgraded to 4.4.

There were no reports of injuries.
