SBCC Hands the Corsair Football Team Another Loss

The Santa Barbara Community College (SBCC) Vaqueros handed the Santa Monica College (SMC) football team another loss on Sunday, Nov. 10 with a final total of 14-10. 

By the end of the third quarter, SMC had 9 running yards, while SBCC had 47 passing yards. The score was 10 to 7 in favor of the Corsairs.


The Corsairs ran five plays, but the series ended with a punt. The Vaqueros began their drive at the 42 yard line.

The SBCC quarterback #12 Bradley Kleven threw to the running back #2 Wil Bayonne to run the last 5 yards, totaling the score to SBCC 14 to SMC 10. 

On fourth-and-second, SBCC quarterback #1 Scotty Forbes fumbled a snap allowing Corsairs to take over on the 30. SBCC's defense stood strong against Corsairs, only allowing SMC one yard with a turnover and downs in the last forty-five seconds of the quarter. This brought the Corsairs total yardage to 43-144 for the second half with 207-276 game total. The game ended with SMC losing 14-10.

The Corsairs' next game will be at Los Angeles Pierce College at 6pm Saturday, November 16th.
