Women's Volleyball defeats LA Mission

The Santa Monica College Corsair women's volleyball team defeated the Los Angeles Mission College Eagles Wednesday night in three straight games: 25-20, 25-20, 25-16. Corsair hitter Gretta Schmittdiel continued her 11 game streak of leading all players with 13 of the Corsair's 33 kills and teammate Jade Morning finished the game with a .500 kill rate.

SMC was able to curb their errors Wednesday night, only committing 10 the entire game.

The loss drops the Eagles to 5-2 and win improves the Corsairs to 8-4 with conference play set to begin Friday, when the team will travel to Bakersfield to take on the Bakersfield College Renegades.
