David Yapkowitz

Once David's dreams of becoming an NBA player quickly dissolved, he decided to become the next best thing, a sports writer. Although basketball is his specialty, he can cover a wide variety of sports from football to soccer to volleyball and more. David first started as a staff writer on The Corsair during the Fall 2012 semester, and was quickly promoted to Sports Editor in only one week's time. He has covered a wide variety of sports topics and events such as the world famous Los Angeles Drew League, X-games gold medalist Lizzie Armanto, the Golden West Open Table Tennis Tournament, and SMC's annual homecoming football game, and he won second place at the JACC Spring 2013 convention's on the spot sports writing competition. David is in his third and final semester as Sports Editor, and will be transferring this Spring.
