March and Rally Against Occupation

As the sixth anniversary of the Iraq war is this Saturday March 21, and the Act Now to Stop War & End Racism Coalition better known as ANSWER, will protest on the streets of Los Angeles once more to demand and end to the occupation of Iraq, Palestine and Afghanistan.

From the ANSWER website "Students, veterans, progressive activists, union members, working families and so many others will be there in L.A. with a message directed to the Pentagon and White House: "Stop the Wars, Fund People's Needs!" People need jobs, health care, education, and housing right here at home; not more money going to kill innocent people abroad; not more money going to bailout and enrich wealthy bankers and CEOs on Wall Street."

The ANSWER Coalition is made up of different activist organizations and volunteers, which include for Saturday's demonstration: Alliance for Just and Lasting Peace in the Philippines, Free Palestine Alliance, GABRIELA Network, Latino Movement USA, National Lawyers Guild-LA, Palestinian American Women's Association, Party for Socialism and Liberation and Youth & Student ANSWER.

The march starts at noon on the corners of Hollywood Blvd and Vine St, and culminates in front of the Hollywood & Highland complex.

The Corsair will be there to report, stay tuned.
