Master Printer and SMC Instructor
John Greco prepares his printing class
for a peer and teacher review and critique
of student project works during class in
Art 126 on Monday, March 20.

Greco grew up in Newcastle,
Pennsylvania, receiving a B.A. from
Slippery Rock University and an
M.F.A. in Art/Printmaking from
Kent State University, and has taught
various classes at SMC since 1990.
Greco believes that "SMC students are
exceptionally creative"
Greco has also maintained the
professional printmaking facility
"Josephine Press" for over 20 years and
the Christopher John Gallery, which
currently represents over 50 artists, both
entities being located in Santa Monica.

Greco counts catch and release fly
fishing and hiking/camping in the high
Sierras as pastime enjoyments
