Jackson tammariello

Jackson Tammariello is a journalism student excited to return to The Corsair. He has an Associate’s Degree in public policy and holds a passion for statistics and mathematics. In his free time, he enjoys playing guitar and cooking for his friends and family.
Ee Lin tsen

Ee Lin Tsen just moved to Santa Monica, Califronia after having lived her whole life in Penang, Malaysia. She is currently a freshman at SMC majoring in Film Production and on the hunt to tell more stories after a year of covering local stories in Malaysia as a photojournalist for Free Malaysia Today. When she’s not flooding Lightroom with photos, she’s rating movies on Letterboxd.

Sasha is a journalism major starting her 5th semester at SMC. She's passionate about sports, primarily baseball, more specifically the Dodgers, and writing and hopes to become a sports journalist.

Andrea Marcy is a new writer for The Corsair. She is a photographer, enjoys the outdoors, and learning new skills. In the fall of 2022, she will be transferring to CSU Long Beach as a PR major with an AA-T in Journalism.

Brittney Is a first gen journalism broadcasting student from the SFV, who is passionate about her culture and storytelling the world around her. Growing up to close to Los Angles her interest in interest in entertainment, fashion, arts and culture grew into a passion. She enjoys exploring the city, meeting new people, fashion and creative content creation.

After writing for her high school newspaper, Khadija became very passionate about journalism and writing in general, and thus decided to attend SMC to major in Journalism. Getting to and uncovering the truth, as well making sure everyone has a voice, are the things she values most in life. She enjoys meeting new and different people, singing along to music in moving cars, drawing, hiking and writing poetry in her free time.

Otis is a journalism major starting their second semester online at SMC. They’re a committed online class taker as well as a part time worker at Starbucks. They’ve been interested in writing and sharing their opinions on articles and readings in class and plans on focusing on finishing their associates at SMC.

Rebecca is excited to be returning to the Corsair as a staff writer who also occasionally submits a photo. She hopes to focus on the Arts and Entertainment. When she is not writing for the Corsair, she invests her time as a Board Member with Make Music L.A. and the Just Jazz Concert Series.

Katheryne is a sophomore at SMC and is thrilled to be Editor-in-Chief of The Corsair. She is passionate about politics and social justice and loves music, books, photography, collecting CDs and books, and cats. When they are not working, they can be found listening to music, reading a book, taking pictures of their friends and family, and playing with their pets.

Aaliyah Sosa is a second-year student at SMC, and a first-time editor with the Corsair for Arts and Entertainment. She majors in music composition, preparing for her career in film composing. The heart of her passion is found in storytelling, whether such stories are told through music or writing.

Sosana is a Journalism major in her third year at SMC. After transfering to a four-year university, Sosana plans to work as a writer at publications specializing in fashion and the evolution of microtrends. In her free time, Sosana writes poetry, works as a flow-art hula hoop dancer for EDM artist, and creative directs photoshoots for friends and small brands.

Anthony Clingerman was raised near Dayton, OH before serving overseas as a Broadcast Journalist in the U.S. Air Force: He would relocate to Columbus to work with 89.7 NPR News and PBS while continuing service with U.S. NORTHCOM. Clingerman now resides in Santa Monica, CA as a proud member of The Corsair’s Fall 2022 team.

Madison is a Communications major in her 3rd year at SMC. After receiving a degree from a 4-year university, she plans to work in Marketing and Advertising with the intention of ending up in the film industry. In her free time, Madison loves watching old black-and-white movies, listening to music, being in nature and meditating, and spending time with her family and friends.

Nick has worked as a sound mixer, boom operator, carpenter, in an archive, and in accounting. He currently does background acting. He has a BA in Cinema-TV and an MS in Computer Science from the University of Southern California. Nick lives in Koreatown and has been in Los Angeles since 2000.

Growing up in space where one isnt really able to have friends or where your only father is time, he has a passion for storytelling in music, as it is his only output for emotions that he's overcame but not forgotten.
